AUSTRALIAN LABOR EXPORT – LESS POLICY, LOW RISK

Changes in Australia's visa policy - including lowering English standards, increasing working time, increasing wages... create more opportunities for Vietnamese workers to come to Australia to live and work.
Currently, Australia is still one of the leading markets for job opportunities that many Vietnamese people aim for. Previously, working in Australia, also known as labor export, was still limited due to the limitation on programs signed by the two governments for cooperation. Besides, the approval of only the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to implement also leads to the fact that labor export to Australia has not really exploded. However, from 2020, along with the change in Visa policy of the Australian Government and many service companies licensed by the Ministry of Labor, has opened up many potential opportunities for Vietnamese workers to come to Australia. live and work.

 

Exporting Australian labor is easier than before
After many years of implementing the skilled visa regime (Skilled Worker Visa), the Australian Department of Immigration has decided to adjust a number of content, one of the major changes is lowering the standard of English when considering Visa application. Accordingly, test scores for 4 subjects listening-reading-writing-speaking were reduced by 0.5 from 5.0 points in IELTS test to 4.5 points according to each state condition. Along with that, the working term increased from 4 to 5 years. In particular, employees (employees) after 2 years of continuous work have the right to apply for a permanent resident visa and after 5 years can apply for Australian citizenship.
However, the Department of Immigration also tightens the recruitment and prevents the exploitation of foreign workers by some Australian Businesses by forcing employers to commit, arrange jobs, implement full welfare conditions for foreign workers when visa is granted. In addition, the employer must pay amount of money to use foreign skilled workers.

Australian labor export- Increase minimum wage and allowance
From 1 July 2023, the minimum wage of workers in Australia will be increased by 8.6%. The new minimum wage will be $23.23/hour and $882.8/week
- Superannuation increase - the minimum amount of super your employer is legally required to pay you - will increase from 10.5% to 11%
- Increased age to apply - Australians will have to wait until 67 - up from 66 years and 6 months - to apply for old age benefits, also known as old age benefits.
Child Care Allowance: Families earning less than $80,000 a year may be eligible for 90% of the federal government's cost of child care. The maximum household income for those eligible for benefits will also increase from about $346,000 to $530,000.
- Electricity subsidy:
+ QLD - vulnerable households will receive $1,072 electricity bill assistance - a $700 cost of living rebate and $372 under the Electricity Rebate Program. All other households will receive $550.
+ VIC - Eligible households will receive $250 and those households that have not yet received the money can apply for an additional $250 through the state Government Energy Savings Bonus program.
+ NSW & TAS - eligible households will receive $500
+ WA & NT & ACT - households will receive $175

 

Relatives are allowed to accompany
